Tutoring Program
Individual Tutoring: For anyone child or adult, even those without disabilities
Tutoring services are available in the following areas:
-Reading
-Word Recognition
-Spelling
-Written Expression
-Mathematics
-Science
-Social Studies
-Language
-Study Skills
-Homework Support
Tutoring services can be provided to the clients in the home, at a local library or
at the center, whichever is determined to be best for the client and the tutor. Different
tutoring locations can be approved by the tutoring coordinator. Tutoring sessions
are one hour in length at charged on an hourly basis. Exceptions can be made on
a case by case basis by the tutoring coordinator. Such exceptions may include special
school projects, exam preparation or the age of the client.
Tutoring sessions that happen within the center must occur within the hours of 8:00 AM- 4:00PM.
The charge for tutoring is $40 per hour for clients located in the Roanoke area. Please
